Subject: DB color

What is there to say about Drooling Bulldog colours? How should I praise something I have witnessed from the very beginning, starting with late summer night discussions with a good friend, first tries and tests all the way up to the final result that, according to me, represents the ultimate best I've ever tried colour-wise? I above everything hope for these colours to receive the rightful valuation from other modelers. I would also like to see these colours assert on the market for modelers interested in the Great War. Finally, I am hoping for the expansion to other airforces participating in the fight of sky knights.

Subject: DB paints

For the first time I used the DB paints on my scratch build Albatros D.V in 1/144 and my experience is excellent. Thanks to the extremely fine pigment I could even do preshading in this scale, the paints create an incredible surface and have great adhesion. The translucency of kraplak allows for excellent effects where you can use the advantage of base colours showing through. Btw. the Zinc White is from now on the only white I will be using, out of all white paints I have ever worked with it has the best covering - again thanks to the very fine pigment.

Cheers

Subject: Painting the Wingnut Wings Hannover

I'm currently working on the Wingnut Wings Hannover CI.II. This seemed the perfect opportunity to try out some of Sergeys paints. First of all I have to say that I was more than pleased with how Sergey took care of the order. Everything went perfect and after a week and a half the bottles arrived at my front door. The paint itself.... just a big, big wow. I've thinned it with both Mr Thinner and Tamiya white cap thinners and both worked perfectly. The paint is on the transparent side, which allows a beautiful buildup, especially when you work with presiding or other techniques that need transparency. It sprays awesome and the finish is flawless. It's dry to the touch in a matter of minutes, and when you let it harden out for some 24 hours it is very strong. This is the number 1 paint that I'm going to use on my future WW1 builds whenever I can! Cheers!
